2006 OCA-East Bay Funraising Event

“Nurturing the Next Generation of Leaders,” was OCA - East Bay's theme for its annual membership and fundraising dinner. The first topic covered that night was an effort to increase voter participation given by Monique Tsang, Executive Director of the East Bay Asian Voter Education Consortium. Recognition was given to two organizations that serve Oaklands’ youth, East Bay Asian Youth Center (EBAYC) and Oakland Asian Students Educational Services (OASES). Additionally, six scholarships were given to local high students. California Congressman Mike Honda was the keynote speaker for the event.
